this formula is a cornerstone of 'wild sings the bird'. it's the first thing I started making and selling, and have continued each & every fall for the last 13 years. the recipe has changed very little, and is very simple: fresh elderberries harvested right here in VT, raw honey from the same hills, a little ginger & a lot of astragalus root. It's simple, warming, and provides lots of immune system support all through the winter. It's preserved with honey, which means the kids really like it. When I have to ship it*, I will add apple cider vinegar to help it keep.
